Clippy, the animated assistant in Word, is well known as one of the most hated software features ever released. Now we know why Microsoft released it – because the male engineers didn’t listen to female user feedback. “Even Early Focus Groups Hated Clippy. Women told Microsoft the animated paper clip was leering at them. The software company didn’t listen.”

OMFG CLIPPY WAS DESIGNED AS THE ORIGINAL MANSPLAINER

THIS MAKES THIS MEME EVEN BETTER

i know we all like 2 joke abt being absolutely useless lesbians but tbh its not funny, its pretty sad, like… its been so ingrained in us that any affection from a girl is purely platonic, “no homo”, that the “no homo” doesnt even have to be said anymore, we just assume its there, even when we know the other girl likes girls as well, we are so convinced that no girl could possibly flirt w us, n were so inexperienced w girls due to this that even when girls do flirt w us, we dont recognise it, we lack the experience to know how girls flirt (bcs its vastly different from how men flirt) n due to that we jus… never recognise anything, we think the other girl is jus being friendly… so its not so much that lesbians are inherently “useless”, its that were so alienated from the thought that girls could flirt w us, n were seen as predatory when we do flirt w girls whom we dont 100% know to be sga, n even then, so that we have absolutely 0 experience w flirting, which leads to us not recognising genuine flirting… this “no homo” mentality on top of our inexperience w wlw romance leads to us being so “useless”, so its not our fault or an inherent character trait, its a society which alienates us from the idea that other girls are sga as well n thus leads us to think that everyone, no matter how obviously theyre flirting w us, is jus being “friendly”

everyone can reblog n ofc this applies to bi women as well, but this post is abt lesbians mainly

looks more like she has been covering her ears to not listen to anything he had to say so he had to punch the wall to finally get her attention…

bobbymoynihan

im a little bit confused, are you analyzing a stock photo used for an article from a satirical online magazine?

let’s all just take a moment to appreciate how a completely fictional man can exhibit abusive behavior in a hypothetical universe that exists solely to mock this behavior and someone out there will still bend over backwards to defend him.

friendly aggressive reminder that the “mmm whatcha say” chorus was written by imogen heap for a song of her own that came out in 2005, and jason derulo both named his own song after the chorus he sampled from her and improperly credited her in 2009.

mmm whatcha say was written by a female artist and taken by jason derulo and now he gets credit for it. pls reblog bc not enough people know this. the original song is called hide and seek

ariasune

it is also a singularly beautiful song, head’s up

zubious

Worth mentioning, “Hide and Seek” is an abstract story of a girl reflecting on her parent’s divorce and how it changed her life, while “Whatcha Say” is about a guy who cheated on his girlfriend and is trying to convince her to stay with him anyway.
